What is Kilawoo?

Kilawoo: Walnut & Apricot, front of pack

Ask someone from Gilgit-Baltistan about kilawoo and you’ll likely hear about a grandmother’s kitchen. It’s the region’s own fruit-and-nut snack: dried fruit and nuts pressed together into something you can carry up a mountain, made the same way for generations.

A modern twist on an old recipe

Shazday’s Kilawoo keeps the idea and gives it a bar shape. Each 45g bar is 100% fruits and nuts, with 0% refined sugar. The fruit holds it together and does the sweetening, and the nuts give it bite.

Four flavours

Apricot gives a tart-sweet bar and raisin a deeper, darker sweetness. Almond is mild and crunchy, and walnut is richer.

When to eat one

Keep one in a school bag, office drawer or glove box. They’re good mid-afternoon, before or after a workout, or on a long drive. It’s a real snack, not a sweet dressed up as one.

Each bar is Rs. 280. Mix the flavours to reach free delivery at Rs. 3,000. Shop Kilawoo →
