Where It All Began

Shazday started the way most real things do — small, and out of necessity rather than ambition. Long before there was a company name, there was one family's orchard above Skardu's Main Bazaar, drying apricots the way their parents and grandparents had: laid out in the open Karakoram sun, no sulphur, no shortcuts, just patience.

Our Values

Pesticide-free fruit, fair dealing with the families who grow it, and a constant search for a better way to bring it to you.

Innovation

We are in the constant pursuit of finding newer and better solutions to problems. Keeping sustainability in mind, we are fast to adopt new technology to be more efficient. We constantly invest in research and development, in all areas of our business.

How We Work

Three commitments shape everything we grow, process and pack, from the orchards of Gilgit-Baltistan to your door.

How we work

Pride back in Agriculture

Shazday is addressing the ecological imbalance caused by the migration of traditional farmers from the Karakoram and Himalayan valleys to urban areas. By partnering with these farmers, the organization seeks to enhance their economic opportunities and living standards. This holistic approach aims to minimize urban migration, preserve biodiversity, and ensure the ecological sustainability of these vital mountainous regions.

How we work

New for the better

Shazday integrates traditional agricultural practices with advanced technology, exemplified by the establishment of the first modern fruit and nut processing plant in the region. Pioneering the use of technologies like remote sensing, GIS, and agriculture 4.0, Shazday remains committed to enhancing efficiency, quality, and sustainability in locally grown produce through continuous research and development.

How we work

Sustainability

Shazday is dedicated to reducing waste throughout its supply chain, aiming for a negative carbon footprint impact in the region while creating value. Amidst concerns of climate change-induced food shortages, the company emphasizes sustainability and ecological balance in its food supply chains, investing in enhanced produce handling and collaborating with farmers to minimize wastage.

Empowering Farmers

We work directly with farming families across the Karakoram and Himalayan valleys: fair prices, no pesticide dependence, and a market for produce that would otherwise go unsold.

100% pesticide-free, the way these valleys have always farmed.

Paid at the farm gate, with no middleman chain in between.
